Celestia
Celestia adds synchronized shooting stars, meteor showers, wishes, and subtle astronomical events to Minecraft's night sky. Every meteor is decided by the server and sent to nearby clients, so players in the same world see the same star cross the sky at the same time.

Features
- Guaranteed shooting stars every night.
- Sporadic stars from any direction in the sky.
- Meteor showers with a shared radiant and natural variation.
- Optional Slow mode for calmer skies on servers or singleplayer.
- Moon phases affect star frequency and subtle color bias.
- Make a wish when a star crosses near the center of your view.
- Luck I for 60 seconds when making a wish, limited to once per Minecraft night per player.
- Advancements for seeing stars, making a wish, completing a shower, and using astronomy/debug tools.
- Special cyan/violet stars in The End.
- Cinematic photographic trail mode with adaptive FPS-based sample reduction.
- Configurable client-side active star limit.
- Localized config screen: English, Spanish (Spain), and Spanish (Mexico).
- Sodium/Iris-friendly: no mixins, no renderer replacement.

How It Works
Celestia schedules stars for each Minecraft night. This prevents empty nights while still keeping the timing random and natural.
Normal sporadic stars can come from any direction. Meteor showers are different: they last for a while and many stars share a similar direction, like a real meteor shower radiant.
Wishing
If a shooting star crosses close to the center of your screen while you are looking at the sky, Celestia triggers a small visual and sound effect. The server then grants Luck I for 60 seconds.
This reward is limited to once per Minecraft night per player, so it feels special without being easy to farm.

- Estrellas cyan/violeta especiales en The End.

- "MAXIMUM" is now default in config
This update turns Celestia's spawning system into a much more stable, configurable, and immersive experience. Nights now have guaranteed shooting stars, sporadic stars can come from any direction, meteor showers keep a shared radiant, moon phases affect frequency and color, and the update adds advancements, localization, wishing with a small Luck effect, and major performance safeguards.
## Main Changes
- Added a persistent nightly star schedule.
- Each night schedules between
nightlyStarMinandnightlyStarMaxstars by default. - The first nightly star appears early through the configurable
nightlyFirstStarWindow. - Sporadic stars now use true 360 degree directions.
- Meteor showers still use a shared radiant with light variation.
- Moon phases now affect star frequency.
- New moon increases activity and slightly favors blue/cyan colors.
- Full moon reduces activity and subtly favors warm white/gold colors.
- Added a wishing mechanic when a star crosses near the center of the screen.
- Making a wish gives Luck I for 60 seconds, at most once per Minecraft night per player.
- Added advancements for seeing stars, making a wish, completing a shower, and using debug tools.
- Added English and Spanish localization.
- The config screen now uses translatable text.
- Added a
Test starbutton in singleplayer. - Added a configurable client-side active star limit.
- The photographic trail now reduces samples automatically when FPS drops.
- Star sounds now vary based on star size.
- The End can now spawn its own cyan/violet stars.
- Many spawn constants are now exposed in
celestia-server.properties. - Slow mode now prioritizes sporadic/nightly stars before meteor shower queues.
- Slow mode status sync is now sent only when the state changes.
- Meteor showers no longer start when too little night remains.
- Updated the mod version to
1.2.0.
## Guaranteed Nightly Stars
Celestia no longer relies only on pure random chance for normal stars.
At the start of each night, the world creates a schedule with target ticks. When a target tick is reached, a shooting star is spawned. This prevents empty nights and long periods where it feels like the mod is not working.
The schedule is saved in world data, so it works correctly across world saves and loads.
Configurable values:
``
properties
nightlyStarMin=6
nightlyStarMax=14
nightlyFirstStarWindow=700
nightlyStarMinSpacing=500
nightlyStarCatchUpWindow=200
`
## Making a Wish
When a shooting star crosses near the center of the screen while the player is looking at the sky, Celestia triggers a small visual and audio effect.
The client now also sends a small packet to the server. If the player has not made a wish that night, they receive:
`text
Luck I for 60 seconds
`
The effect is limited to once per Minecraft night per player so it cannot be farmed easily.

Added the following advancements:
Look Up`: witness a shooting star while under open sky....This update adds Slow mode, improves burst handling, and makes Celestia easier to configure from the Forge config screen and
celestia-client.properties.## Main Changes
- Added the optional
Slow mode. - Slow mode does not disable big bursts; 4 to 20 star bursts still spawn instantly.
- Meteor bursts and clusters are queued instead of spawning all at once while Slow mode is enabled.
- Occasional meteor shower bursts can now appear with 4 to 20 stars.
- Those 4 to 20 star bursts also happen instantly while Slow mode is enabled.
- Slow mode can occasionally release two nearby stars at once, with the second star slightly behind, lower, and offset.
- Slow mode can be configured from the config screen in singleplayer.
- Singleplayer Slow mode preferences are saved in
celestia-client.properties. - Dedicated/server defaults can now be configured in
celestia-server.properties. celestia-client.propertiesreloads when changed on disk.- Multiplayer clients can see the server Slow mode status in the config screen.
- Server administrators can control Slow mode with commands.
- Added direct admin burst commands.
- Added very rare violet/cyan meteors and rare larger meteors for more visual variety.
- Updated the mod version to
1.1.2.
## Slow Mode
Slow mode is for players or servers that want regular meteor activity to feel calmer without removing big burst moments.
In this mode:
- Big 4 to 20 star bursts still happen instantly.
- Smaller queued clusters use the Slow mode queue.
- The queue releases stars in controlled intervals.
- Sometimes two stars release together in a natural small row.
- Disabling Slow mode clears the queue and restores the old behavior for queued clusters.
In singleplayer, Slow mode can be edited from the config screen or
celestia-client.properties.In multiplayer, the client config cannot override the server. The administrator controls Slow mode.
## Server Config
Dedicated servers can edit:
``
properties
slowModeDefault=false
slowModeInterval=70
occasionalBurstChance=9000
occasionalBurstMin=4
occasionalBurstMax=20
`
occasionalBurstChance=0 disables occasional large bursts.
