📘 Cobblemon Pokéstop - Configuration Guide

NewPokestop This mod uses a single JSON configuration file to manage both the cooldown timer and the reward pool. You can customize these settings without needing to edit the source code.

Config File Location: config/cobblepokestop_config.json (This file is automatically generated when you launch the game for the first time.)

⚙️ Default Configuration

{
  "cooldownSeconds": 300,
  "rewards": [
    {
      "item": "minecraft:apple",
      "min": 1,
      "max": 5,
      "roll": 1
    },
    {
      "item": "cobblemon:poke_ball",
      "min": 1,
      "max": 5,
      "roll": 1
    }
  ]
}

📝 Parameters

Global Settings

  • cooldownSeconds: (Integer) The time in seconds a player must wait before they can claim rewards from the same Pokéstop again.

  • Default: 300 (5 minutes)

  • Example: Set to 60 for a 1-minute cooldown.

Rewards List

  • The "rewards" section allows you to define the items dropped by the Pokéstop.

  • item: (String) The item ID in namespace:item_name format.

  • Example: minecraft:bread or cobblemon:poke_ball.

  • min: (Integer) The minimum quantity of items to drop per roll.

  • max: (Integer) The maximum quantity of items to drop per roll.

  • Note: The game will pick a random number between min and max. If you want a fixed amount, set both to the same number.

  • roll: (Integer) The number of times the system attempts to give this item stack.

  • Example: If you drop apples (min: 1, max: 5) and set roll: 2, the game will randomize the apple amount twice (e.g., getting 3 apples on the first roll and 5 on the second, totaling 8).

💡 Custom Example (Cobblemon Integration)

Here is an example configuration with a 1-minute cooldown that rewards items from the Cobblemon mod with randomized quantities:

{
  "cooldownSeconds": 60,
  "rewards": [
    {
      "item": "minecraft:bread",
      "min": 2,
      "max": 4,
      "roll": 1
    },
    {
      "item": "cobblemon:great_ball",
      "min": 1,
      "max": 1,
      "roll": 1
    },
    {
      "item": "cobblemon:poke_ball",
      "min": 1,
      "max": 5,
      "roll": 2
    },
    {
      "item": "cobblemon:exp_candy_m",
      "min": 1,
      "max": 2,
      "roll": 1
    }
  ]
}

## Cobblemon Pokéstop 2.0.1 - The Visual & Config Update

### ⚠️ Important Note for Upgrading Users:

If you are updating from a previous version, please delete the old configuration file before launching the game to avoid errors.

  • ❌ Delete: config/poke_pools.json or cobblepokestop_config.json (Old system 1.0.0/2.0.0 )

  • ✅ New File: The mod will automatically generate a new file named config/cobblepokestop_config.json.

### ✨ Visuals & Animations:

  • New 3D Gyroscope Model: Replaced the placeholder block with a stunning 3D animation featuring a floating central cube and 3 rotating rings (Inner, Middle, and Vertical Outer rings).
  • Holographic Art Style: Implemented a cel-shaded aesthetic using solid colors with distinct black wireframe outlines for high visibility.

### Dynamic Status Colors:

  • 🔵 Blue: Pokéstop is ready to claim.

  • 🟣 Purple: Pokéstop is on cooldown.

Extended Render Distance: The animation is now visible from up to 190 blocks away.

### ⚙️ Configuration & Features:

  • Unified Config System: Merged reward pools and cooldown settings into a single file: config/cobblepokestop_config.json.

  • Randomized Rewards: Added min and max settings for rewards, allowing drops to be randomized within a range (e.g., 1-5 apples).

  • Mining Requirement: The Pokéstop block is now harder to break and requires an Iron Pickaxe (or higher) to drop.

### 🔧 Optimization & Fixes:

  • Culling Fix: Fixed an issue where the top part of the animation would disappear when standing too close or looking at certain angles.

  • Crash Fixes: Resolved initialization order issues and rendering buffer conflicts.

## ⚙️ Configuration Changes:

  • Unified Config File: We have merged the reward pool and cooldown settings into a single file for easier management.

  • New file: config/cobblepokestop_config.json
  • You can now configure the cooldown time (in seconds) and drop rates/rolls directly in this new JSON file.

## 🔧 Optimization & Fixes:

  • Performance Boost: Implemented math caching for the renderer animations to significantly reduce CPU usage and improve FPS.
  • Fixed Culling Issues: Fixed a bug where the top part of the Pokéstop would disappear when standing too close or looking at certain angles.
  • Gameplay Balance: The Pokéstop block is now harder to break and requires an Iron Pickaxe (or higher) to mine and drop the item.
