Create: Rock & Stone (Now with Create Aeronautics support!)
Adds generation of underground resource deposits that can be mined with a customizable mining contraption. Inspired by Create: Molten Vents and Create Ore Excavation.
If you find issues or have suggestions, please let me know by opening an issue here.

Features
Miner Bearing
A replacement for old miners that lets you build massive miner contraptions and augment them with attachments!
Mine Head
The core component of every miner. A single block by default, but can be upgraded to a 3x3 when placed in a special formation!
Deposit Scanner
Used to scan for underground ore deposits. Once tuned onto a deposit, its antennas will periodically flash. If both antennas flash together, you are looking in the right direction. The faster they flash, the closer you are!
Modded Deposits
Vanilla Deposits
Compatibility
- JEI - Mining recipes and catalyst info.
- Jade - Shows remaining resources if finite deposits are enabled (1.21.1 only).
- Xaero's World Map or Journey Map - Shows found deposits as icons on the map.
- Create Aeronautics - Mining from physics contraptions
Deposits are too rare or too frequent?
Create: Rock & Stone provides 4 datapack flavors that let you control how often the deposits spawn in the world. There are two ways to enable them:
- When starting a new world, go to the
Datapackssection and select the deisred flavor. - In existing worlds, use command:
/datapack enable "create_rns:<flavor>"and restart the world.
Everything is tweakable!
This mod includes a dedicated KubeJS plugin. Click here for more info and working examples.
For example, to select which deposits should be added and how often they should spawn, put this
in <game folder>/kubejs/startup_scripts/main.js:
StartupEvents.rnsEnableDeposits(event => {
event.overworld()
// Keep the deposits you want. Setting the second argument to false will disable worldgen, but keep the deposit enabled.
.deposit('create_rns:deposit_coal', true)
.deposit('create_rns:deposit_iron', true)
.deposit('create_rns:deposit_copper', true)

## Gameplay
- Added nether deposits for Quartz and Gold (which now spawns in both overworld and nether).
- Added deposits for modded ores: Tin, Lead, Nickel, Silver, Uranium, Thorium, Cobalt (more to come in future versions). \
- Found deposits will now show on the map (Xaero's World Map and Journey Map are supported).
- Deposit scanner will now show if a deposit is above or below when you get close.
- Added GUI config menu in the "Mods" tab (1.21.1 only).
# Datapack changes
- As always, documentation for all data fields can be found at https://github.com/BMasta/create-rns/blob/main/docs/datapack.md.
- [breaking]** Catalyst schema was overhauled.
- "resonance" catalyst requirements were replaced with a general "attachment" catalyst requirement.
- "attachment" lets you specify any block or collection of blocks as attachments.
- To satisfy the requirement, the specified number of attachments needs to be added to the miner contraption.
- [breaking]** Deposits are no longer vanilla jigsaw structures, but a special dedicated type.
- Both structure and structure start configs were united into one.
- Some parameters were removed, some changed, some added.
- [breaking]** Deposit spec now requires a map icon item to be specified.
- You can now specify a mining recipe item as a item id, a tag, or a list of items and tags.
- All id's you specify will be tried until one that actually resolves is found.
- Useful when you don't know exactly what the item should be.
- Lots of checks and validations were added to prevent silent failures when something fails to parse or resolve.
# Minor improvements and fixes
- Deposits now sound like deepslate instead of stone.
- Resonators are no longer washed away by liquids and can be waterlogged.
- Mine Head can now be waterlogged as well.
- Resonance Buffer hitbox is now less annoying (especially when placing resonators on it).
- Resonators and Resonance Buffers now use Flywheel visuals, which should improve rendering performance.
