All vanilla Overworld ore crops

Do you want to easily cultivate various resources in Minecraft just like growing crops? The Croparium mod makes it possible! It provides a brand-new way to obtain ores and all kinds of resources, allowing you to grow resources like farming crops!

As is known, Mining using hands is extremely unhealthy!

众所周知,手挖是一种极其不健康的行为!

⚠️ Compatibility Notice

  • 1.21.6+ — Native Fabric/NeoForge support

  • 1.21.1 & 1.20.1 — Forge/NeoForge only natively

    • Fabric users: The Forge/NeoForge version may be used through Kilt.
    • Kilt is required.
    • This is not a native Fabric port.

For Kilt-related compatibility issues, please report them to the Kilt project unless the issue also occurs on Forge/NeoForge.

Planting Guide

How to Obtain Seeds

The crafting recipe for seeds of each resource is similar: 1 unit of the target resource + 8 corresponding embryo shards.

  • Vanilla Plantable Resources:
Overworld Minerals Nether Minerals Biomass Resources Ocean Resources Sweet Resources
Overworld mineral seeds recipe Nether mineral seeds recipe Biomass resourse seeds recipe Marine resourse seeds recipe Sweet resourse seeds recipe
Growable overworld minerals Growable nether minerals Growable biomass resourses Growable marine resourses Growable sweet resourses
  • After installing compatible add-on mods, you can also plant specific resources from those mods.

Obtaining Embryo Shards

  • Hold the corresponding material and right-click a Classic Stonecutter to extract the shards. A single embryo shard of the matching type will drop upon success.
  • Tutorial: Embryo Shard Extraction Guide

Planting and Harvesting

  • Mod crops require a specific type of "farmland" to grow— vanilla dirt farmland won’t work! Crops must be planted on dedicated farmland.

  • Embryo shards can be used to accelerate the growth of corresponding crops.

  • Once crops are fully grown, you can harvest them by either breaking the plants directly or right-clicking on them.

  • Tutorial: Crop Planting and Growth Mechanisms

Reactor Core

Cross-Mod Expansion

Starting from version 3.0.0, the Croparium mod adopts a modular design. The base mod does not include any cross-mod crops—it needs to be used with corresponding expansion mods (this mod serves as a dependency).

Players can install the corresponding expansion mods as needed, with the main Croparium mod serving as the required dependency.

Some expansion mods:

Croparium: Confluence Overworld

Croparium: Cataclysm

Croparium: Twilight Forest

Croparium: ARPHEX

Croparium: The Aether

Croparium: Create

Croparium: Mekanism

Croparium: Composite Materials

Biomes O' Plenty Legacy Reborn & Croparium

More cross-mod content is still in development. If you have creative suggestions to share or encounter issues while using the mod, feel free to [open an issue on GitHub](https://github.com/litQA/Croparium/issues).

Lite is now a branch independent from the regular version. After a period of updates, its mechanics have diverged considerably from the regular branch. Therefore, starting from this release, version numbers with the -lite suffix will be iterated independently from the regular versions, though we will still try to keep the update cadence as synchronized as possible.

The Lite version was originally exclusive to Fabric, but because it has fewer features, more streamlined mechanics, and is easier to maintain, we have now incorporated many fringe versions (e.g., Forge 1.17.1, NeoForge 1.20.6, etc.) into the Lite branch as well. This helps reduce the effort required for cross‑MC‑version updates. Please note that all Lite versions are STD versions and are not guaranteed to receive long‑term maintenance.

# New Content
  • Added a stonecutter GUI for the Lite versions, with functionality synchronized with the Forge/NeoForge versions.

# Changes
  • Renamed the Stonecutter Alpha registration ID from tile_stonecutter to alpha_stonecutter.
  • Various other minor improvements and tweaks.

# Fixes
Fixed 3 bugs:
  • The thermal expansion add‑on mod cp_thermal outputs erroneous log messages even after loading normally.
  • [Fabric 26.2] The reacor core fails to load reactor modules.
  • When querying the mapping table by source field, if the source field overlaps with the target field value, the query returns an unintended target field, which in turn causes abnormal crop drops for certain crops.

# Fixes
  • The thermal foundation addon cp_thermal outputs incorrect logs after loading normally.
  • Various other minor improvements and tweaks.
  • Added basic support for Fabric 26.2.
  • Added basic support for NeoForge 26.2.

  • Updated NeoForge 1.21.1 to 21.1.248.
  • Updated NeoForge 1.21.4 to 21.4.157.
  • Updated NeoForge 1.21.8 to 21.8.54.
  • Updated NeoForge 26.1.2 to 26.1.2.95.

# Fixes
  • The description in the comment for the reactor core vertical range multiplier entry under the Reactor Core Settings category in the Croparium.toml config file did not match its actual behavior.
  • The mod could not correctly recognize and load the crop mappings for the Thermal Foundation expansion addon cp_foundation, causing crops in that addon to lack drops.
  • When only one Experience Reactor Module was loaded in a Reactor Core or Reinforced Reactor Core, the experience value gained incorrectly used harvest amount × 3; according to the experience formula harvest amount × (n+1)^2, when n=1 it should be harvest amount × 4.
  • When players replace the Reactor Core block model JSON via a custom resource pack, if the outermost model element has partially or fully transparent areas, it will cause an X-ray see-through effect.
  • While loading the Mekanism addon, the resource crop mapping table for cp_mek was being added repeatedly.

# New Content

For a long time, biomass embryo shards have been a persistent pain point for players. In the early game, players could only rely on the stonecutter to extract biological material with a low probability, making it incredibly easy to fall into a shard shortage during the initial exploration phase. Entering the mid-game, while various biomass crops can steadily produce resources, there is no mechanism to convert other crop types back into shards. If you want to continue farming, you can only keep consuming shards, and replenishing them is exceedingly difficult — a problem that persists even into the late game. This update introduces a mob drop mechanism; daily mob grinding can now yield shards, filling the gap in obtaining biomass embryo shards to a certain extent.

  • When killing a mob, there is a chance for it to drop 1 or more biomass embryo shards. If the tool in your main hand or offhand has the Looting enchantment, both the drop chance and the expected number of drops will increase.
  • Added the config option biomass shard base drop factor on mob kill, which controls the base weighting for biomass embryo shard drops from mob kills. Higher values increase both the drop chance and the drop quantity. The default value is 0.51.

# Changes

  • Optimized the texture of embryo shards.
  • Optimized the addon mod detection scanning and mapping table creation logic. Game loading and map opening speeds are now faster.
  • When an addon mod is successfully loaded and its corresponding mapping content is added, relevant information will now be output in the log.

# Fixes

  • The reactor core’s effective range was abnormal, causing numerous areas that should have been active to fail to trigger the scanning function.
  • Mature Glowstone crops: right-click harvesting yielded no drops, and left-click breaking only dropped seeds.
  • Corn plants from Corn Delight could be matured by a reactor core equipped with an agricultural reaction module, but when the reactor core automatically harvested the mature corn, no items would drop.
  • End stone farmland would no longer degenerate back into End stone when there was no dragon’s breath fluid nearby.

# New Content
  • Added native planting support for the Rose Gold material from the Everrose mod. This crop is an End crop.

# Changes
  • Redesigned the operation interface for the Reactor Core and Reinforced Reactor Core.
  • The pedestal range of the Reactor Core and Reinforced Reactor Core is now displayed as an energy bar in their operation interface.
  • The default vertical effectiveness multiplier for the Reactor Core has been changed from 1 to 2.
  • Removed some deprecated legacy texture files.

# Fixes
  • The Reinforced Reactor Core displayed the active texture even when inactive.
  • Glowstone Seeds could not be crafted.
  • [Fabric] The Reinforced Reactor Core could not be activated even when placed on a suitable pedestal.
  • [Fabric] The Reactor Core could be activated, but no activation layers were displayed in the interface.
  • [Fabric] Regardless of the pedestal tier, the horizontal effective range of the Reactor Core and Reinforced Reactor Core was always fixed to the range of a tier 4 pedestal.
  • [Fabric] Regardless of the pedestal tier, the vertical effective range of the Reactor Core and Reinforced Reactor Core was always fixed to the range of a tier 2 pedestal.
  • Removed config option: Do not reset mapping table

  • Fixed some known issues
  • Ported to Fabric26.1.x: Reactor Core Module system
  • Ported to Fabric: Reactor Core Module system
# Changes

  • Performance optimization: adjusted the refresh cycle of inactive reactor cores to 20 game ticks, and set the cycle to 40 game ticks when the reactor core is disabled in the config file.

# Fixes

  • The reactor core's working logic was not invoked during refresh, resulting in the core being fully non-functional after activation.

## Obsidian Crop and Crying Obsidian Crop

This update adds the Obsidian Crop and Crying Obsidian Crop to resolve the high acquisition difficulty of tough embryo shards in the early game. In previous versions, the crafting of tough embryo shards relied heavily on obsidian resources, which are cumbersome to obtain in vanilla Minecraft. The newly added crops effectively optimize the tough crop planting experience in the early game.

  • New Items: **Obsidian Shards** and **Crying Obsidian Shards**. Mining Obsidian Farmland or Crying Obsidian Farmland with a diamond-tier or higher pickaxe drops 3-7 corresponding shards. If the tool is enchanted with Fortune, it will drop 9 corresponding shards.

  • Crafting Recipe: 9 Obsidian Shards can be crafted into 1 Obsidian; 9 Crying Obsidian Shards can be crafted into 1 Crying Obsidian.

  • New Crops: Obsidian Crop and Crying Obsidian Crop, categorized as tough crops. Their respective seeds can be crafted from the corresponding shards and Tough Embryo Shards.

## Mapping Table Version System

  • Introduced a version management system for the mod's built-in mapping tables to automatically detect and execute mapping table updates. The system will automatically upgrade the mapping tables to the latest version when the mod is updated and the mapping table version is incremented.

  • Note: Mapping tables will not be automatically downgraded when rolling back the mod version. Use the command /croparium mappings reset <mapping_table_name> to manually reset the target mapping table if needed.

  • All custom user mappings will be reset after the mapping table is updated.

  • Mapping table versions adopt a positive integer incremental rule.

# Changes

## Tough Farmland Mechanics

  • Dried Obsidian Farmland and Crying Obsidian Farmland will no longer revert to regular Obsidian and Crying Obsidian blocks respectively.

  • Tough crops can now only be planted on lava-irrigated tough farmland.
