This is a stripped version of "ToroHealth Damage Indicators" for 1.7.10 that contains only the damage particles.
It also has the feature of only showing the particles when you see the mob, you can disable this by setting "show always particles" to true.

How to Install Custom Damage Particles (Mod)
Custom Damage Particles by evaraphi is verified for Forge across Minecraft versions 1.7.10 (latest release: 1.0.0, file size: 13 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.7.10) and platform (Forge).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Forge.
- Move the downloaded Custom Damage Particles file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
