Explosive Enhancement

Explosive Enhancement: Reforged is an unofficial Forge port of Explosive Enhancement.

This is a simple cosmetic mod that adds many new particles when an explosion occurs, any of which you can enable/disable at will. You can also completely enable/disable the mod via the config too.

There is also a special underwater explosion effect. You can make it so that there are lots of bubbles during an underwater explosion for a satisfying effect!

All bug reports should be directed to me, you can join our discord server. For feature request, ask Superkat32.

Configuration

You can edit the mod through the mod's configuration, located at config/explosiveenhancement.toml

 Aditional info

There are 2 versions of this mod. CLIENT ONLY, required just on client. And CLIENT & SERVER, which is required on both (use this if there are incompatibilities with other client-sided mods). You can disable the mod inside the mod's config if you don't want to see custom explosions.

  • Added an ingame config screen for neoforge (the mod "configured" automatically creates a config screen for the forge version)
  • Added config options to change the size, duration and opacity of the explosion effects
  • Added a config option to blacklist entities (like creepers), so their explosions are ignored and keep the vanilla particles
  • Config changes are now applied without restarting the game
  • Particles can now be spawned properly via ingame commands, specifying a certain size for some values, for example: /particle explosiveenhancement:fireball{scale:4} ~ ~ ~
  • Fixed a crash with explosions of radius 0, like the ones from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks or Goety
  • Explosions with a radius of 0 now keep their vanilla particles
  • Only the vanilla explosion particles are replaced now, instead of cancelling the rest of the explosion, which stopped blocks from being destroyed and fire from spreading when other mods (like TaCZ) finalized their own explosions

Don't use this version if you're not planning to use the TacZ mod, as it’s not fully stable and may be incompatible with other mods that were previously compatible. I will archive this version once the creator of TacZ creates their own 'compatibility layer' with Explosive Enhancement: Reforged.

  • This version just fixes the issue where TacZ explosive ammo won't destroy surrounding blocks.
