Integrated Circuit
A Minecraft mod that adds an integrated circuit redstone component. Each integrated circuit block has a 15x15 grid where you can place two-dimensional redstone components. Each side of the circuit can be used as an input or output for your circuit.

How to use
To craft an integrated circuit, you need 2 redstone dust, 1 quartz, 1 black terracotta, and 3 concrete or stone arranged like so:

When you place one down and click on it, it will open the circuit editor screen. You can select a block on the left, and place it in the 15x15 grid as you normally would in minecraft. To rotate a component, you use the scroll wheel. Adjusting repeater delay or the comparator mode is done by right clicking on a component.
The four ports are labeled using four colors to associate them with the sides of the integrated circuit block. Each port can be an input or output, which can be changed by right clicking it in the editor.
You can also copy circuits by putting an integrated circuit in the crafting grid, along with empty integrated circuits, similar to how books are copied, or re-dye them a different color by crafting them with a dye item, like with wool or shulker boxes.
Config
When having cloth-config and ModMenu installed, a config can be accessed from the Mod's modmenu page. Without cloth-config installed, the mod will use the vanilla keybindings and default config options.
The config allows to customize the three main keybindings for placing, destroying and picking components. You can also change the scroll behaviour (rotate component, scroll palette) and inverse the scroll direction.

- Fixed circuits not being copied from items when placed ([#49](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/issues/49))
- Made the inventory open keybind (E) close the circuit screen
Due to changes in block state serialization in minecraft, circuits also need to be migrated, since they share the block state serialization for components. Make sure you make a backup of your world before upgrading it.
### Changes

## ⚠️ Warning: Worlds from 1.20.4 and below will not be updated properly and may crash (see note below)
I already spent weeks writing datafixers to migrate old circuit data to the new one (which already worked).
Unfortunately, when Minecraft introduced structured components on items to replace NBT,
they chose to use
components as the tag name where they are saved. This happens to be the same tag that circuit items and block entities used for storing their circuit data.
This causes very annoying problems with DataFixerUpper,
since it would expect the list of integers to be a map of components.
When trying to load a 1.20.4 world with circuits, it will error with something like this in the console and crash:
``
Not a map: [I;0,0,0,.....
``I tried a lot of things to fix this, and it partially almost worked (with some exceptions).
However, I don't feel comfortable including this fix in a release,
because I don't know the possible side effects it might have to worlds.
So if you need your world upgraded,
feel free to get in touch, so I know there is demand for it.
I might still find a good solution (unlikely)
or help you update the world with my (as of now) crude solution.
My datafixing attempts can be found at https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/tree/datafixing-pain
- If you are a datafixing wizard, I would really appreciate any help.*
- Updated to MC 1.20.6
- Fixed placing a circuit not updating output/input signals
- Reworked the circuit serialization heavily:
- Circuits are now saved using paletted containers (like minecraft chunks are saved)
- Component states now use the same state system as block states, allowing more states than the previous 256 limit
- Renamed block entity name to integrated_circuit:integrated_circuit

- The name of circuits is now rendered on top of the block model
- Added a config option to disable circuit name rendering
- Changed the mod id from
integrated-circuittointegrated_circuitwith an underscore, to match the namespace used in identifiers
- Backported latest version to 1.20.1
- Circuit updates now happen in the scheduled tick phase of the world, instead of the block entity ticks. Circuits might have to be manually block-updated in case they stop running when updating the mod.
- Fixed circuits having wrong delays for scheduled ticks in some cases
- Added colored variants of the circuit, crafted with concrete blocks as the base ([#26](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/pull/26))
- Existing circuits can be dyed like wool ([#26](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/pull/26))
- Made circuit items 3D ([#26](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/pull/26))
- Circuits now have their respective color's map color ([#26](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/pull/26))
- Ports now carry updates through instantly, instead of in the next tick
- Fixed redstone torches powering the block it is attached on
- Updated to MC 1.20.4
- Updated to MC 1.20.2
- Only tick the circuits on the server + added some safety checks (Fixes [#21](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/issues/21))
- Optimized the circuit block entity on the client to no longer waste memory by storing an empty circuit
- Fixed crash when game options are not available ([#20](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/issues/20))
- Added cloth-config and ModMenu as an optional dependency for accessing the config
- The keybindings for placing, breaking and picking components can now be configured in cloth-config
- Added a keybind for rotating the component (default
r) - Added config for changing scroll behaviour (Rotating component or scrolling through component palette)
- Added config for inversing scroll direction for the above
- Added a redstone lamp component [#9](https://github.com/replaceitem/integrated-circuit/issues/9)
- Updated to Minecraft 1.20
