Kelp was introduced in 1.13, causing numerous performance problems both server and client side, and it's only purpose was to bring a bit more life to the ocean. It's only "good" feature was it's use as food, even then it only heals the bare minimum of half a heart.
So, I decided to remove it completely with a mod, and after a bit of tweaking, the dreaded kelp is finally gone.

How to Install Kelp Remover (Mod)
Kelp Remover by moonwirer is verified for Fabric across Minecraft versions 1.19, 1.19.1, 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.19.4, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.20.2 (latest release: 1.0.0, file size: 18 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.19, 1.19.1, 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.19.4, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.20.2) and platform (Fabric).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric.
- Move the downloaded Kelp Remover file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
