Metallum

Metallum is an experimental rendering backend for Minecraft on macOS that uses Apple’s Metal API instead of OpenGL/Vulkan. It provides a more native rendering path and aims to improve performance and efficiency on Apple Silicon.

This project is still experimental. Performance, stability, and compatibility may vary depending on your system and installed mods. If you encounter bugs, please report them on GitHub.

How to Install Metallum (Mod)

Metallum by kokodio is verified for Fabric, Quilt across Minecraft versions 26.2, 26.2-pre-2, 26.2-rc-1, 26.2-rc-2, 26.2-snapshot-3, 26.2-snapshot-4, 26.2-snapshot-5, 26.2-snapshot-6 (latest release: 0.0.25, file size: 1.3 MB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:

Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (26.2, 26.2-pre-2, 26.2-rc-1, 26.2-rc-2, 26.2-snapshot-3, 26.2-snapshot-4, 26.2-snapshot-5, 26.2-snapshot-6) and platform (Fabric, Quilt).
Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric, Quilt.
Move the downloaded Metallum file into your Minecraft .minecraft/mods folder and launch the game.
