Mod Description:

This mod aims to take you back to the era of early alpha versions of Minecraft by simplifying the health and food system. The hunger bar is removed, and now health is instantly restored upon eating, just like it was in the old days. Each type of food restores a specific amount of health, and the food item is consumed immediately after eating.

How to Install Retro Hunger Mod (Mod)

Retro Hunger Mod by ImNero is verified for Forge across Minecraft versions 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4 (latest release: 1.12, file size: 31 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:

  1. Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4) and platform (Forge).
  2. Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Forge.
  3. Move the downloaded Retro Hunger Mod file into your Minecraft .minecraft/mods folder and launch the game.

Some bugs related to incorrect processing of the eating event have been fixed in the mod, and compatibility with other mods has been improved, in particular with types of food that perform special actions.
Restored food tracking and consumption counting functionality for improved compatibility with the SoL carrot mod.
The mod now works on versions of the game from 1.20.1 to 1.20.4 inclusive
Regeneration added when the world is on peaceful difficulty level
Fixed a bug where right-clicking with a non-food item in the main hand caused the game to crash
Fixed a bug where, when a player holds an item in their off-hand, right-clicking with food in the main hand consumes food twice. Added teleportation from chorus fruit.
Fixed application of potion effects from food items that apply potion effects.
Improved compatibility with SoL Carrot mod.
Fixed a bug where the air bar overlapped with the player's health bar.
javafml depedency fix in mods.toml
Changed the food HUD rendering method: instead of simply removing the texture, the HUD is now not rendered at all.
The vehicle health bar is now displayed above the armor bar to prevent overlap when vehicle health exceeds one row of hearts.
the issue where the hand animation for eating food was synchronized across all players' screens simultaneously has been fixed.
