Accessibility SOCIALISMUS: MODULARITY WAVE

Supported Platforms

SPIGOTMC | FOLIA | VELOCITY | PAPERPMC

Supported Versions

1.16.x and newer

A customizable, truly modular and modern plugin for your Minecraft server
that aims to improve communication between and with players.

Dependencies & Information

General
You can use either Velocity or any Spigot fork. Just select the correct JAR file and place it in the plugins folder.

Java
We recommend using Java 17 for older versions (e.g., 1.16) and Java 21 and higher for newer versions.

Integrations
Our plugin and modules integrate with various other plugins. By default, we recommend using PlaceholderAPI for additional placeholders, though you can find others on our module pages.

Good to know
This plugin will not be ported to lower versions. If you want to use it, update your server; otherwise, find an alternative.

Infinite Chats

Define unlimited chat channels in your preferred config format, hot-reloadable without code changes.

  • Flexible Triggers: optional prefixes (!, #) or auto-trigger GLOBAL or LOCAL with configurable radius
  • Powerful Requirements: group multiple rules (perms, worlds, etc.) and apply a variety of operators per group for fine-grained access control
  • Dynamic Formats: create multiple message templates per channel, tie each to a requirement group, and the plugin auto-selects the format whose requirements are met
  • Built-In Fallback: catch-all channel for any message that doesn’t match other chats

Synchronization

Effortlessly keep your network in sync—across servers or through proxies.

  • Cross-Server Chat: broadcast live messages in real time across all servers or through proxies
  • Shared History & Cleanup: forward every message network-wide, then issue a synchronized clear command to instantly wipe chat histories on every server
  • Unified Command Suggestions: propagate player tab-completion and command hints network-wide

Requires the Sync Module, configured separately (e.g., Redis credentials) in its own config file.

Customization

Tailor every feature via your preferred config format (YAML, JSON, TOML, etc.)—zero hardcoded strings, fully hot-reloadable.

  • Commands: enable/disable commands; set aliases; assign permissions; customize descriptions, usage templates & cooldowns
  • Messages: define every prompt, notification & error in config—control text, placeholders, colors & layout without touching code
  • Global Settings: configure core behavior entirely in config (Logging, Serializer, Sync, Updater, Listeners)
  • Hot-Reload: apply changes instantly with a dedicated command

Modularization

Add only the features you need via a plug-and-play module system.

  • On-Demand Features: only installed modules are loaded—no extra code or unused functionality
  • Auto-Generated Config: each module creates its own config folder on first load
  • Decoupled Development: modules rely solely on the core—no inter-module dependencies required
  • Independent Updates: update, add or remove modules without touching the core plugin

Modules

Chirper – Free: The loudmouth of the server! Make sure your announcements are heard by all. Ideal for rallying the troops or just making sure everyone knows it’s pizza night.

SocialismusChannelizer – Free: The resource provider! Enables synchronization feature for other modules using BungeeCord channels.

  • All features except chatting were moved to separate modules that can be downloaded from the Plugins GitHub page.**

## What’s new
  • API: Introduced a Resource API so developers can provide a module that offers a database, sync, and/or cache connection, which can be used by plugin and other modules.
  • API: Introduced an API for modules to easily notify about updates. Now, it is an internal system that shouldn't be implemented by each module separately.
  • Added new synchronization system, supports not only proxy servers, but also Bukkit and its forks.
  • Added chat history clear synchronization.

## What changed
  • API: Updated dependencies.
  • API: Introduced the FUTURE version, in addition to UNSUPPORTED, to correctly mark future versions, as Mojang has decided to release more updates to the game.
  • API: Event system now allows listening to the abstract parent class instead of a specific one.
  • Rewrote chat synchronization on Velocity.

## Fixes
  • The plugin is now compiled in Java 17 to support legacy versions.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when both players were in different worlds and we tried to measure the distance.
  • Fixed ConcurrentModificationException when clearing chat history.

[2.0.0-RC2] Refinement by whereareiam on Oct 15, 2026
Download
This is the **second release candidate** for version 2.0.0, focusing on **bug fixes**, **dependency refresh**, and **refinements** since RC1.

The core architecture remains modular, with only basic chat, the module loader, and developer API in the plugin jar. Download individual feature modules (jar files) into your modules directory as needed.

From this version on, Socialismus 2.0.0 is considered **stable** for production servers, some modules can already be used with it, but it will still be in RC as not all functionality has been transferred from the legacy version

The plugin is now divided into three platforms:
  • VELOCITY**: Compatible with versions 1.16 - 1.21 using Java 17.
  • BUKKIT**: Compatible with versions 1.16 - 1.21 using Java 17. It lacks the optimizations from Paper, so using the PAPER version is highly recommended if possible.
  • PAPER**: Compatible with versions 1.20 - 1.21 using Java 21.

The documentation has been moved to the [GitHub Wiki](https://github.com/whereareiam/Socialismus/wiki) and will be completed before the official release. In the meantime, you can contact me for assistance via [Discord](https://discord.arcadeya.com).

## What’s new
  • Automatic PlayerName Placeholder: {playerName} is now replaced by default in all serializers without manual handling.

## What changed:
  • Javadocs: Improved code documentation for both old and new API.
  • Code Revision: Improve code readability and performance.

## Fixes
  • Concurrent Deletion Crash: Prevented ConcurrentModificationException when multiple messages are scheduled for deletion.
  • JarFile URI Handling: Wrapped plugin jar paths in File.fromURI to robustly support special characters.

[2.0.0-RC1] Modularity Wave by whereareiam on Oct 15, 2026
Download
This is the **first release candidate** for version 2.0.0, introducing numerous **new features**, **improvements**, and **changes**. Before using it, please delete all files in the Socialismus folder from version 1.x.x, as the entire structure has changed and **no automatic migration** is provided.

Most features have been removed and will be ported as modules, which can be downloaded as jar files and placed in the modules directory. The plugin itself now only includes basic chat functionality to enhance the default Minecraft chat, the module system, and the API for developers.

The plugin is now divided into three platforms and one group:
  • MODERN (group, platforms can also be used separately)**: Includes VELOCITY and PAPER versions of the plugin, recommended for use with newer versions and Java 21 (e.g., 1.20.1+).
  • BUKKIT**: Compatible with versions 1.16 - 1.20 using Java 17. It lacks the optimizations from Paper, so using the PAPER version is highly recommended if possible.

The documentation has been moved to the [GitHub Wiki](https://github.com/whereareiam/Socialismus/wiki) and will be completed before the official release. In the meantime, you can contact me for assistance via [Discord](https://discord.arcadeya.com).

  • Customization: Customize everything as you wish. Be yourself and try new things.
  • Gradle: Migrated from Maven to Gradle.
  • Help Command: The new help command can be customized further by limiting the number of commands per page. If the page is overfilled, smart pagination will appear.
  • Logging Level: Set different levels of logging instead of just toggling between debug and non-debug modes.
  • Message Serialization: Users can now choose between different serializers (LEGACY_AMPERSAND, LEGACY_SECTION, MINIMESSAGE, GSON, GSON_DOWNSAMPLING) instead of just using MiniMessage with additional legacy parsing.
  • Messages: Optionally add a prefix to messages using the {prefix} placeholder and specify translations for command arguments in the dynamic list.
Reload Command: All configs are now reloadable.
Updater: Full control over the updater is now available, rather than just toggling it on or off.
