This addon for TerraFirmaCraft adds new mechanics to volcanoes, such as eruptions, earthquakes, tremors, pyroclastic bombs, new methods to regenerate minerals, and reintroduces the well-known mineral deposits, that could deposit near pools of spring water and lava, from TerraFirmaCraft versions 1.7.10 and prior to TFC 1.20.1 and 1.21.1!
For the flowing fluids, as seen in some images, I recommend adding the Flowing Fluids mod (and configuring it yourself).
There are many new types of minerals that can spawn around both lava and hot springs, examples being sulphur, ammonium chloride, salt, saltpeter and many more. Some of the new minerals can also be pulverized into usable fertilizers! This addon also makes lava behave differently depending on the local rock type (configurable); in certain rock types lava will spread very slow over and short distance, while much faster and farther if in the right conditions.
Besides, throwing "moist" items into lava can make for some funny reactions!

The following video showcases an active volcanic eruption; such violence -- what a show, magnificent!
All Versions
+ Add Version- Added new fire spread mechanics.
- Fire spread is affected by rainfall, temperature and wind.
- Wind favors downwind spread and can carry fire farther.
- Implemented a fire fatigue mechanic, which is a system to help prevent fires from spreading forever.
- Fatigue settings are configurable and carry over to newly spread fire.
- Fixed a bug that caused fire to break soil blocks (*yay*).
- Charred logs now drop charcoal, with the amount increasing as they become more and more charred
- Tweaked fire spread logic
- Made fire jump distances configurable
- Reworked rejuvenation logic of charred blocks
- Charred blocks rejuvenate faster in wetter and warmer conditions and much faster if it is raining
- Other general tweaks
- Patched to work with TFC versions after the creative-tab API change, while remaining compatible with older tab definitions
toggleBurnTint(client) also toggles smoke and fire particles emitted from charred blocks- Added
rejuvenationLowerBoundandrejuvenationUpperBound(defaults 30 and 250 ticks), to control the random interval used when rejuvenating charred blocks - Explicitly enable and call
randomTick()(andisRandomlyTicking = true) on all blocks using the char mechanic, so charred-state updates run reliably, even when vanilla or existing tick behavior would skip them
- Fix incompatibility with FTB Chunks
- Improved waterlogged volcano detection logic a lot
- Other minor things
- Requires TFC v4.2 or newer
- Added support for the many new volcano types
- Added new (and tweaked existing) commands to trigger volcanoes by type or any
- Tweaked the camera shake effect a bit - still not perfect, but better nonetheless
- Fixed some issues with fluid placement from geyser particles (e.g. the lava blobs launched from volcanoes)
- Increased the chance of a volcano being able to generate lightning storms by a factor of 10
- Pyroclatic flows can now cause fire, so beware! (configrable)
- Other internal refactoring
- Config cleanup
- Tint logic changes and blending the char tint with the base block tint if it has one (such as leaves, grass etc.)
- Added a config to toggle the charring tint effect, making the blocks appear unburnt/normal
- Added a config to tweak the nearby block charring rate from fire blocks
- Fixes to when right-clicking log blocks
- Fixed a server-related issue where it was trying to access a client-only class
- Add extra conditional checks to make sure that a chunk has been fully built before accessing certain data stored in it
- Added an additional checks to make sure the biome in the checked chunk is valid
- More work towards making volcanoes work better in the Nether
- Fixed an issue caused by a block missing the charred block state when trying to rejuvenate it
- Fixed ArborFirmaCraft apparently being set as a mandatory dependency, even though it isn't a hard dependency at all
- Fixed mixin redirect issues related to Lithium
- Fixed geyser particles creating source fluid blocks instead of the intended non-source fluid blocks
- Fixed some issues with the
/tfcv tremors clearcommand - Fixed the odds of tremors/volcanoes activiting rising with the currently active amount of tremors/volcanoes
- Increased the default tremor activation odds from 1000 -> 10000 for the Overworld, and from 500 -> 5000 for the Nether
- Completely revamped the volcano mechanics
- Added dangerous pyroclastic flows
- Added volcanic ash, that can turn to tuff over time or convert logs below to petrified wood
- Volcanic ash slowly "decays"/is sweeped away by the wind
- Added petrified wood
- Added more minerals and ores
- Ores and gems from TFC can now also be placed as mineral deposits on the sides of blocks
- Added wildfires
- Added scorched ground mechanics
- Scorced vegetation slowly regenerate back to a non-burnt state of itself
- Added plumes to volcanoes
- Added a bunch of particle effects
- Added lava geysers
- Added zone-based location logic for selection of which minerals or rocks that are to be placed
- Placed or dropped torches can set surrounding flammable blocks ablaze (***Watch out where you place them! You have been warned!***)
- You can now simulate and experience the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius as it happened in Pompeii
- Embeddium is NOT supported as it is End-of-Life! Use Sodium instead!**
- Greatly optimized TFC's landslide mechanics
- Optimizations and other stuff maybe
- Compatibility with TFC >= 3.2.10
- Requires TFC >= 3.2.10
- Changes to some mixin stuff
- Fixed compatiblity issues with Twilight Forest (and perhaps some other mods too)
- Minor tweaks to camera shake
- Disabling screen shake in the accessibility options also disables screen shake induced from earthquakes and similar
- Screen shake from earthquakes scales with the accessibility settings value instead of either *on* or *off*
- Fixed potential *null pointer exception* from world carvers
