# LifeWars This update brings a major overhaul to the LifeWars crafting system, improved heart item handling, a new in-game recipe editor, better revive mechanics, and a number of core refactors and quality-of-life improvements. ## Major Features * **Custom Recipe Editor**: Added an in-game editor for customizing the Heart and Revive Book crafting recipes. * **Configurable Recipes**: Crafting recipes can now be configured and saved directly through the plugin configuration. * **Custom Heart Items**: Added support for custom heart ingredients and improved heart item identification. * **Item Model Support**: Added support for custom item models and CustomModelData strings, allowing resource packs to customize heart items. * **Admin Spawn Item**: Added a new admin command for spawning LifeWars items. * **Improved Revives**: Reviving players now includes new particle and sound effects for a more polished experience. ## Core Improvements * **Banned Players**: Reworked banned-player storage to use a dedicated `BannedPlayers.yml` file. * **Ban System**: Added improved ban, unban, and ban-and-kick handling. * **Heart System**: Refactored heart creation, giving, dropping, equipping, and health handling. * **Recipe System**: Reworked recipe loading, saving, validation, and registration. * **Config System**: Improved configuration loading and automatically adds new default settings. ## Fixes & Quality of Life * Fixed hearts being consumed when interacting with certain blocks. * Added inventory capacity checks before withdrawing hearts. * Improved handling of offline players during elimination. * Fixed legacy heart recipe tokens. * Improved material and recipe token handling. * Added better validation for revive books. * Improved error handling for invalid item model keys. * Cleaned up unused code, imports, and outdated implementations. ## Compatibility * Minecraft 1-21-1.21.11 Support * Added support for the modern `CustomModelDataComponent` API on Minecraft 1.21.4+. * Added fallback support for older APIs using legacy CustomModelData. * Improved compatibility with resource packs using custom heart models. ## LifeWars This update significantly improves the foundation of LifeWars while making recipes, items, configuration, and administrative tools much easier to manage.
