## Salt's Animal Farm 0.3 Beta
### Performance and behavior
- Added resumable, fairly scheduled comfort searches with separate budgets for candidate checks, occupancy work, and pathfinding.
- Optimized perimeter traversal, SPACE target ranking and occupancy checks, shelter retries, and reuse of validated paths.
- Reduced repeated sickness modifier updates, threat scans, config calculations, and bookkeeping for unmanaged animals.
- Replaced repeated sickness snapshots with batched change updates and reduced debug networking and rendering overhead.
- Cached config-screen catalogs, tag previews, and reflection metadata. Config changes still apply immediately while disk saves are debounced.
- Added config safety limits, bounded diagnostic commands and logging, and configurable cosmetic feedback limits.
- Improved cache cleanup and fixed sheltered rain-path behavior on newer Minecraft versions.
### Compatibility
- Added Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 builds for Fabric and NeoForge.
- Updated all supported builds: Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2, and 26.3. Minecraft 1.20.1 uses Fabric or Forge; later versions use Fabric or NeoForge.
- Use version 0.3 on both client and server for the updated state/debug protocol. Fabric requires the matching Fabric API.
### Validation
- All 12 version/loader builds, six regression suites, and isolated dedicated-server checks passed.
- This is a beta release. Client visual checks and before/after performance measurements are still pending.
