This version of VillagerGPT introduces compatibility with Paper API 26.2 and the following new features:
- You can specify a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint to use instead of the official OpenAI API. This allows you to use a model from any provider of your choice, such as OpenRouter or a local model. This is configured as `openai-base-url` in `config.yml`.
- Reasoning effort can be configured as `openai-reasoning-effort` for models which support it.
- Villager personalities can be configured in `config.yml`.
- Villagers can choose to end the conversation themselves.
Developer information
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle.
